Yep, Godfrey better for precision.  Dalton better all-around.

I prefer the Godfrey's  , they are able to excel in both IMAC and 3D quite well ..currently flying two 40% 300's ,35% Edge , 35% Laser , and 30% 300 .... all Godfreys .....

What are you looking to do with it? How long does it need to last? How willing are you to go the extra mile to watch the grams add up? I personally think the Carden is the Best Kit out there but you need to watch the weight she can hit 40lbs with a heavy handed builder. I believe a Carden is an easy 2500+ flight airframe or add that up to 4 years of competition. That's Easy for a Carden. Not to mention there number of years in the hobby and there customer support. Now the new Dalton ML is the "IT" airframe right now and Tony stands behind it 100% not so sure about how long she will stay tight....I have a friend that purchased two ML's for the 2010 IMAC so in time I will have the facts on that airframe. Godfrey,Aerotech, plans built options are out there the builder makes a good plane better and a bad pilot makes a great plane SUCK ASS!

Ok, like most of you I read alot of BS on the net. MOST of it (except porn) is hobby related (Ok some stand up paddle board stuff). OK there are two companies to watch in the next couple months one is Aerotech with new owners and a recent bond with a guy named Bob Sawyer AKA Sensi they already have a 55% er that is being designed around the DA 170 and DA 200 at 44 lbs. Yeah 55% @44lbs. Before you jump up and say NO WAY go over to FG and search a thread called 40% on DA 100 you I was made a believer. The other is competition airframes known mainly as a kit builder he now has started to build prototypes for his own line of quality kits. This guy has built hundreds of kits all high end so knows what makes a plane fly and last. My personal hope is Aerotech offering a 40-43% Yak 55M that will fly on a 100 cc motor. When I asked they just said I was really going to enjoy the months to come. I will keep you guys notified on any updates and if they produce that Yak kit full build thread for sure..

Its a good time to be in this hobby

Aerotec will be adding "ULTRA LIGHT" as options for all there kits from what I understand, Bob is who they cunsult with for all mods for lightweight airframes. As we speak, a 40% Slick 540 proto is being covered and assembled, @ 28# w/ DA100. Hopefully its RTF when the Aerotec boys come down for the 55% maiden in a few weeks. If it is I will get to tickle the sticks on it, and naturally the 55%er.
